What is Chattering?

In a nutshell, chattering is “the repetitive starting and stopping of pumps.
Generally, from the viewpoint of flood control, it is desirable to set the starting water level of the pump to be as low as possible. On the other hand, the range between the starting water level and the stopping water level is narrower, and when water level fluctuates due to light rainfall, which causes the pump to move between the starting and stopping water levels, the pump will start/stop repeatedly.

When chattering occurs

Repeated start/stop cycles due to severe fluctuations in the inflow channel can put a strain on electrical equipment such as motors and electrical panels, increasing the risk of breakdowns and causing problems when restarting the system.
Pumping equipment, which is originally designed to keep water levels low and protect local residents, may become inoperable due to fluctuations in water levels.

FLOOD BUSTER solves chattering

FLOOD BUSTER automatically changes the discharge volume by taking in air without mechanical or electrical control in response to changes in the water level, such as “full drainage operation,” “air-water mixing operation,” and “standby drainage operation. Since operation is possible while taking in air, operation can be continued even when the water level is low, thereby fundamentally solving chattering.
